Terms of use

These terms cover this website, mondayitis.app, and the Case of the Mondays app, both made by Slugworx. By using them you agree to these terms. They're short, and we've tried to make them readable, which is more than can be said for most.

It's comedy

Everything here is for entertainment. The HR department is fictional, Keith the photocopier is fictional, the memos are not real HR communications, and the conditions in the sick note generator do not exist.

Not advice

The Mondays calculator does accurate arithmetic on the dates you give it, but it is not financial, pension or retirement advice. Retirement and pension ages vary and change; check with your government's pension service or a regulated adviser before making decisions. Nothing on the site is medical or legal advice either.

Joke sick notes only

The sick notes and emails are jokes. Don't present them as genuine medical evidence or use them to mislead an employer, school or anyone else. If you're unwell, follow your workplace's real sickness process and see a professional if you need to. Real illness deserves real leave.

The "anything but" suggestions

The alternatives on the Anything But pages and in the app's wheel are absurd on purpose. Use common sense: don't do anything unsafe, unkind, unlawful or against your workplace's rules, even if a wheel suggested something nearby. In the app, tasks you type are answered by an AI model; its suggestions may occasionally be odd or wrong, and you can report anything that shouldn't be there.

What you type

Don't type personal information, other people's details or anything unlawful into the app's wheel. See the privacy policy for what happens to what you type.

Ads and links

The app and website are free and supported by Google ads. We don't choose individual ads and aren't responsible for advertisers' sites. Links to other sites (like Google Play) are governed by those sites' own terms.

Ownership

The writing, design, posters and code are ours, or used under licence; poster photographs come from free-to-use stock libraries. You're welcome to share posters and cards you make, with the mondayitis.app mark left on. Please don't copy the site's content wholesale or sell it.

No guarantees

We try to keep everything working and accurate, but the site and app are provided as they are, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from using them. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change when we do.
